Laser Hair Removal
Award-winning laser hair removal for men and women, backed by 30+ years of licensed experience in Reading, MA and the North Shore.
How It Works
Long-Lasting Hair Reduction
Laser hair removal uses concentrated light energy to target pigment in the hair follicle, disabling the follicle's ability to produce new hair over a series of treatments. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are needed to catch every follicle in its active growth phase — which is why we offer single sessions as well as 8- and 12-session packages.
Our team has performed laser hair removal in Reading, MA since it first became available to consumers, and we've been voted Best of The Readings, Best of North Shore (BONS), and named a Northshore Magazine "Best of the North Shore" pick for laser hair removal.

What to Expect
What Affects Your Results
Laser targets pigment in the hair, so coarse, dark hair typically responds fastest. Fine, light, gray, or red hair has less pigment for the laser to target — electrolysis is often a better fit for these hair types.
Hair grows in cycles, so a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart is needed to treat follicles as they enter their active growth phase. Most clients see the best long-term results with an 8- or 12-session package.
Our team is trained to adjust laser settings for a full range of skin tones. We'll assess your skin and hair during your consultation to recommend the safest, most effective settings for you.
Have Hair Laser Can't Treat?
Ask Us About Electrolysis
Laser hair removal works best on hair with pigment. For gray, blonde, red, or very fine hair, electrolysis — the only hair removal method the FDA recognizes as permanent — may be the better option. Our founder has been a Licensed Electrologist since 1993, and Lindsay and Lauren are now Licensed Electrologists too.
Common Questions
Laser Hair Removal FAQ
Laser hair removal provides long-term hair reduction, not a lifetime guarantee. Most clients see a significant, lasting reduction in hair growth after completing a full package, with occasional touch-up sessions to maintain results. For a hair removal method the FDA recognizes as permanent, electrolysis is the option to ask about.
It depends on the treatment area, your hair type, and your goals, which is why we offer single sessions as well as 8- and 12-session packages. Most clients starting a new area choose a package to see the follicle through its full growth cycle. We'll recommend a starting point during your consultation.
Most clients describe the sensation as a quick snap, similar to a rubber band against the skin. Sensitivity varies by treatment area and individual pain tolerance. Our team will walk you through what to expect before your first session.
Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner in the days leading up to your appointment, since tanned skin cannot be safely treated with laser. Shave the treatment area the day before your session, and skip waxing or plucking between sessions since the laser needs the hair root intact.
